Ethos

At Bridgtown Primary School children come first and our priority is to deliver high quality teaching and learning whilst at the same time providing rich and truly enjoyable learning experiences for our community of children.

Everything we do is to ensure that the children achieve their very best.

We want every child to be successful; to reach for success from the very first day they join us and so that when they leave us, they have a love of learning and a keen curiosity to begin their school journey.

Our Aims

To provide a high quality experience where children are at the heart of everything.

To create a safe, appealing and inspiring environment where children thrive and learn.

To build secure and trusting relationships with children and their families valuing parents as the children’s first and most important educators.

To celebrate diversity, appreciating and respecting the things that make each child unique.

Every week we will be taking a group of children into our forest area where they will explore the natural environment and learn new skills. We always finish sitting on our circle of logs drinking hot chocolate!

We have now set up a book lending library to encourage children to share and talk about books at home. Parents are welcome to change the books every Thursday.

Red Class Spring Term 2018

As usual we will be led by the children’s own interests and provide the environment and resources to enable this. However after taking a lead from and listening to the children, we also have a general topic that will extend over this term.

Our topic this term is ‘Heroes’

We will be looking at superheroes as well as real life heroes such as the Police, Firemen, Doctors and Nurses.
