International Links

The development of a global perspective is an important part of our school's provision. Our recent Ofsted report recognised how ‘the school operates within the international community.’

Bridgtown Primary has links with schools in Kenya, Ghana and Italy, in which we work collaboratively with pupils and teachers in our partner schools.

Bridgtown Primary School has the full International School Award 2014-2017 for outstanding development of the international dimension in the curriculum. This is something we are in the process of being reaccredited for. In addition to this, we are a global learning partner school having attended and implemented the global learning dimension within the curriculum.

The British Council through the International School Award has recognised our school’s achievements, efforts and commitment for young people to provide a window into different cultures and countries, preparing them for life in a global society. Through the British Council the school has applied in conjunction with schools from around the world, to be part of an Erasmus + project. This application is pending and hopefully by September 2017 we will have an updated status and could even be reporting from Italy, Netherlands and Spain!
